After a big party here in the jazz club two weeks ago we had dinner this time....and then walked up to the jazz bar. Arrived 1/2 hour late after cocktails at our house with the neighbors, at least we called to let them know we were late, but they were great and happy to see us when we all arrived. We had 8 in our party and sat at a table up front and were served by the BEST waiter - John.

He was quick with bottles of wine (and many beers - for me) and made excellent recommendations for apps and dinner. The atmosphere and decor in the restaurant are made for fun, and its easy to talk and be heard, groups or small parties fit in well. I like it because you never feel rushed and have to ask for the check.

We had the calamari (fantastic) among other apps, and then I had the special gnocchi mozzarella for dinner - it was OUTSTANDING (and Lent friendly). Everyone was happy with their meals and most took some home there was so much.

Finished with a tasty canoli.....then we made the walk upstairs.

Band was AWESOME, they could play almost anything - and would for a tip - and the dance floor was always crowded. The bartender upstairs is GREAT, fast and friendly. It was pretty crowded, but we got a spot at the bar. And for me to dance....I have to have several beers and a good band...and I spent a bunch of time on the dance floor.

This is a GREAT spot to have dinner and then a drink upstairs after!

No receipt really, it is hand written. Tons of wine, beer, apps, entrees and desert....
