Park Hyatt, Avon CO - February 16

Rating - 10.00 ++++

Wow, what a fabulous experience to stay here.....the BEST HYATT I have ever been in......ski right in/out at Beaver Creek.

The excellent adventure began before we even arrived when I received an email from Kendra Powell at the concierge desk with a note they would be full the week we arrived, a list of restaurants, and an offer to take care of any services we needed. I did use them to book all of our dinners, our transportation (CME), and the spa......I can't say enough about their kindness and excellence in what they do.......everything was PERFECT. I also spoke with Patricia Stamper prior to arrival, she is the Executive Assistant Manager, and she arranged for a bottle of champagne and strawberries to be in the room at arrival!

We arrived early, around 11 am, and our room was not ready yet. We had packed a ski bag and went to the spa to change. We then headed to get our rental skis (separate review - Gorsuch) from a shop in the basement, and then our FREE LIFT TICKET (its free on the day you fly into Eagle) and tickets for the next three days. This was all within a 2 minute walk.

After the first day of skiing - you ski right into the ski and boot rental return - we headed to the outdoor fireplace for a drink. What a beautiful setting, looking right up the mountain having a drink after a hard day of skiing - they also served smores to all the kids (and me).
**Mothership beer - 5.50
**White Haven SB - 12.00
**Sunshine Wheat beer - 6.50

We then headed up to our AWESOME suite (room 3033) and then to the outdoor hot tub - there is a robe and slippers in each room. It was unbelievable to sit in the hot tub while it was snowing and drink a beer....great way to relax and get ready to head out.

We had breakfast each morning at the restaurant in the hotel - 8100 (separate review) and even dinner one night (horrible, separate review).

Also tried the spa - GREAT MESSAGE - but VERY expensive (separate review), and took the shuttle from the hotel every night.

Everyone went out of their way to ensure our total happiness and we were pampered - felt like the Queen and King!!!!!!!!! The general manager, Scott Mason, sets the tone and left a very nice voicemail for us. I also have to throw a shout out to Todd the Doorman, I think he would do anything for us with a smile on his face, he was so sincere, friendly and helpful.....rock on DUDE!!!!

The property itself is spectacular, and the village built around it is quaint. The SKIING is EXCEPTIONAL, and the natural beauty is spectacular.

In the end the incredible service is something I will always remember.

You MUST stay here at least once in your life.
