Washington Nationals Park - July 22

Rating 0.0000000000000001

This park is so over rated and over priced its a joke. The only good thing was the ease in taking the metro to the park, however the walk over (3 blocks or so) was not real good -- the characters who were hanging around looked like they were right out of jail and there was not a police presence at all (it was worse when we left after the 7th inning).

The scalpers were horrible also....I should have accepted the first offer for $10 seats BECAUSE YOU CAN SIT WHEREVER YOU WANT IN THE PARK. THEY DON'T CHECK TICKET STUBS.

I ended up paying $25 in the bottom of the second inning for seats that had a face of $70 each. They were located in section 114L, Row P, Seats 4-5. Seats were ok, but the ballpark has only two levels so you walk in on the "lower" level where the food and bathrooms are located and then you walk down a lot of stairs to get to the box seats. This would really suck if you had to get up for food or drinks because its strait up to get to bathroom/concessions. This design is horrible and is used only in the oldest and worst stadiums (hello Metrodome in Minneapolis).

The team is BRUTAL and I have no idea who would be robbed by paying $70 bucks for these seats. They were also playing the Mets and all their obnoxious fans were there --thank goodness the Nats hammered them.

But WORST OF ALL IS THE CONCESSIONS. Its a strange set up where you order the food from the counter and pay for it on the way out.....so HUGE LINES gather on the left of all the stands while on the right you can walk right up and order. And the workers who staff the stands act like you are bothering them by ordering. They just don't care, take their own time, and talk/laugh with their buddies in the stand. WORST SERVICE EVER.

This place is a waste......don't waste your time or money.

Total - $50 for tickets

Concessions - 2 dogs ($9), 1 bag nuts ($4), 2 pretzel ($8), 2 beers ($15) - $36.00
