Third Rail Tavern, Chicago - March 21

Rating - 8.77

We made it over here after trying to get into West End to have lunch and watch basket ball (it was the Sat of the first weekend in the tourney). West End was full of 22-29 year olds and it was standing room only. We were too old to stand and eat, but the place was rocking.

So, we headed two block east to 1133 W Madison. We walked right in and got a table for the three of us....two more eventually joined us. They had 1/2 price martinis, but we drank beer.

The apps were fantastic, and the entrees were acceptable. Friendly service and never too crowded. Only downside was they only had one game on at a time.

We stopped back in after the game and it was pretty crowded, all the tables full, but you still could elbow in at the bar if needed.

I would go back!
