We headed up out of the brutal Chicago cold during mid week. Great deal of $99 per night including water park passes. However when we got to our room it was awful (a king by the door on main hallway) and two twins looking at outside water park. Went to the front desk and it was $25 to upgrade to the 2 bedroom suite -- good deal (esp since they never added the charge to our room).
Kids loved the water park, I loved that you could buy a case of beer at the gas station next door for $27 (plastic Lite 16 ounce bottles) and bring them into the park (since that is what they served).
Ate the first night at Damon's (the sports bar) and it was pretty good.

We decided to stay one additional night and the quoted rate was $289 for the night. We called the Wilderness and it was $149, so I walked to front desk, let them know their offer, and they gave us the additional night for $99. YEAH.
We had a problem the last night with an unbelievable party in the room above ours, at 2 am I went down to front desk and they immediately put an end to it. I should have done that 4 hours earlier.
Last morning we spent in the indoor amusement park. It was great, and well worth the $20 we spent to get the girls the unlimited ride bracelets. We should have bought one for the little guy since the merry-go-round was $3 per ride.
We will be back next year!
